Our Experience

WORKING FOR DEVELOPMENT

ADRS is active in the fields of economic modelling, policy research and training services — chiefly in the developing world context. Our team prides itself on having contributed to:

• Building economic modelling capacity in a number of countries
• Making economic models accessible to policy makers and policy analysts
• Using economic modelling techniques to design pro-poor economic policies
• Conducting policy-oriented research into key economic development issues

Individually and collectively, ADRS team members have delivered some 80 to 100 development projects, including a multi–country economic modelling project for the UNU–WIDER. ADRS has assisted several African institutions to build micro-simulation and macroeconomic models.

We have also built four user-friendly web-based models, which are tailored to the needs of South African researchers and policy experts. These are used in South Africa to design macroeconomic, industrial, poverty and income distribution policies.

ADRS is currently providing economic modelling services to 11 African countries. We are also in the process of expanding our services to Latin America and the Middle East.
